Judge to hear Scott-Franks dispute will be appointed

Lee County Superintendent of Education Mike Scott’s lawsuit against Tupelo attorney Jamie Franks and Eric Hampton, Lee County Democratic Party chairman, will be heard by a judge appointed by the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Last week, all of the circuit judges in District 1, where the lawsuit was filed, officially excused themselves from presiding over it.
